Projects// Random Access Melody
Of late, Sandhya's head has been exploding with her own music. So she decided to record her solo CD. The music is a mix of Indian melodies and rhythms, with jazz and world flavours. Or is it jazz with an Indian flavour ? Since the answer to this is not obvious, the title is Random Access Melody. This suggests that there is a whole variety of ways to listen to it and the listener makes his/her own pictures in their head. Where these two traditions meet is in the field of improvisation and the complexity and richness of rhythmic structures.
